Pele and my life are intertwined—her lava moves through the land as it does through my art. She speaks a prophecy foretold in my paintings, and the story is still unfolding

Inspired by the coastal volcanic flow/eruption of Kilauea on the Island of Hawaii. The energy and movement of the paint and brush represents Pele and her older sister Namaka, the sea goddess, as she is embracing her sister Pele as lava flows into the arms of the ocean.
