"Sleeping and dormant volcanoes fascinate me and Leahi (Hawaiian) is no exception. This is the view from the Halekulani Hotel and was encouraged by my Professor Russel Sunabe to take my own spin on this legendary view and was playful with the cloud shapes. In the end it’s bold and everything I dreamed it would be. Influences are Fairfield Porter and Andy Warhol. It’s vivid with a playful serenity of an iconic Waikiki view."⏤Juanita Aguerrebere 2019
